International Women’s Day is celebrated around the world annually on March 8th. This event is held to highlight women’s achievements and raise awareness of gender equality.
This year’s International Women’s Day theme is ‘Break the Bias’. The focus of this theme is a gender-equal world free from bias, stereotypes, and discrimination.
Beekin is a proud supporter of International Women’s Day, and diversity and inclusion are at the core of our organization. We have some incredible women on our team who have made a real difference to Beekin’s success.
Ebby, our rental AVM, is named after a pioneering woman, Tania Aebi. Tania was the youngest person and first American woman to circumvent the Earth. Most incredibly, she managed this incredible feat with no prior sailing experience.
